6th Stop: MATATAG STREET

Black

Matatag Street is situated in Barangay Central a community with mixed residential and commercial development. The area lies along the Diliman district where many government offices (QC Hall, BIR, LTO, etc), important health centres (Phil. Heart Center, East Avenue Medical Center, National Kidney Institute, Lung Center, etc)  and well known educational institutions (UP, Claret, Diliman Preparatory, etc) are located.

And if this helps... the Zonal Value in Matatag Street is Php 10,000/sqm. So if you are going to buy or would like to sell a property in Matatag Street the zonal value is primarily used as basis for computing the fair market value of the property and also for computation of property taxes. I, Thank you :)

It's more fun learning Real Estate 101 in QC!

5th Stop: REGALADO AVENUE, FAIRVIEW

Go Vintage

Here's another post from the past (Christmas eve 2011) for my FB account, t'was created to spread some Ukay fashion... though our dinner was in Manila Hotel yet, the ukay store was in Fairview, Quezon City.

Oo kaya mga conalei, may I shpluk na my real estate chuvaness bago akesh  kumembular ditey. Zsa Zsa Padilla! :)

The store is situated along Regalado Avenue in Fairview, where the area has been revitalized with commercial and residential developments. The residential areas are home to middle-class residents living in subdivisions. Fairview is also the dwelling place of La Mesa Eco Park. The area is surrounded with schools, hospitals and shopping centres. So if you're looking for a property that's close to facilities that are important to you such as, schools, public transport, shopping complexes and parks, you might want to consider Fairview as one of your options.

and if you are...

On a tight budget for fashion? Go Vintage Shopping!  ♥♥♥

No matter how you call it, be it pre-loved items, thrift stores, secondhand stuff, garage sales, bargain hunts, or the most commonly used term UKAY UKAY. It is the place to be for budget conscious fashionistas, where one can find an interesting piece of clothing at an inexpensive price.

While others may find it distasteful to don anything less than brand new, a lot of fashionistas and even affluent-looking individuals have subscribe to the school of thought that, one person's junk is another person's treasure. So they sweat their butts out, looking for that one of a kind piece of clothing in thrift stores.

And guess what? I also go for ukay fashions, :) I do vintage shopping haunts, brave the crush of people and endure the intolerable heat and strange smells of these shopping shacks.

How-I-Wore-It:
I rolled up the leg pants to make it a 3/4 length pants jumpsuit, accessorize with a belt and finish off the look with a green suede ankle bootie.

So if you are on a limited budget but still want to look GLAMOROUS, you just have to be RESOURCEFUL!

Have a great look!

4th Stop: THE SULO RIVIERA HOTEL

Revamp

A blast from the past... :)

This post was made for my FB account last December 2011 (Event: Christmas party at The Sulo Riviera Hotel) and would like to repost coz t'was meant to be shared :)

But first things first...

The Sulo Riviera Hotel is a
"prestigious Quezon City landmark strategically located in the midst of the city's principal business and commercial hubs, as well as the headquarters of national government offices. A stone's throw away from the Quezon Memorial Circle, the hotel is adjacent to the Quezon City Hall and the Heart Center for Asia."

If you don't know, I have a habit of altering my garments and make it into something fashionable. So, for our office Christmas party I have this boring sleeveless dress and decided to make it a one shoulder dress. I folded and stitched the upper part of the dress and just added some accent and Voila! I have all the reason to smile and rock the party in style... :)

If you're looking for a different, dramatic look on your holiday parties without spending too much on your outfit - just dig trough your closet and revamp your old clothes... It's fun!

Have a great look!

mEy

P.S. I really wanted to show the before picture of the dress unfortunately, someone has erased it on my files. :(

Still...

Its more fun looking great in QC!

3rd Stop: TIMOG corner SCOUT YBARDOLAZA

Out of this world

Timog Avenue (South Avenue) is a district in QC known for its vast assortment of restaurants, spas, salons, comedy bar, discothèque, karaoke and night life. It is a popular entertainment destination in QC.

Several streets surrounding Timog Avenue were named in honour of the scouts and officials who died in a plane crash en route to joining the 11th World Scout Jamboree and among them was Rogelio Ybardolaza, a boy scout from Quezon City Council.

Purchasing a property or just renting a commercial space in Timog require a significant amount of investment as Timog Avenue is one of QCs prime sites. In layman's term,  Timog properties are desirable and typically expensive because it has high demand and people just have the want to buy them for whatever reason.

Therefore, Timog is the place to be if you want to come across real estate, sights, sounds, entertainment and culinary. Yep!

Its more fun to experience all these stuff in QC!

2nd Stop: S&R CONGRESSIONAL AVENUE

Hoodies and the Rain

On  a rainy Saturday night of July 21 my brother and I went to S&R to buy pizza and fries for our dinner. S&R pizza or what they called the New York Style pizza is one of the best pizzas in town, it is big 18" in size and it only costs around 500+ pesos depending on the flavours (cheapest is the Pizza Cheese for only 500). Ang mura kaya teh!

**photo borrowed from Foodie from the Metro

S&R stands for Sol and Robert Price, the store's founders. S&R is a 700 peso membership warehouse club shopping (like Costco in the US) catering imported goods. To know more about their offers and sales click on the link: S&R

We've been a member of S&R since 2010 and we always go to S&R branch in Congressional Avenue in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay (Bago Bantay). The store's site is a flat rectangular area measuring approximately 5 acres in order to support a warehouse store of about 50,000 square foot and around 200+ parking spaces. It is situated in main arterial roads of Quezon City (EDSA and Congressional) for direct access and good visibility. It is close to densely populated neighbourhoods of Project 7 and Project 8 (Bahay Toro) and commercial centres such as Waltermart and Congressional Arcade Building.

Although its helluva jam-packed during sale period, still, it is the best S&R branch I've been to because their staff provides good service, the store is complete, or if the product you would want to buy is out of stock, they would offer to give you a call as soon as the product becomes available. Ayos dba?! :) and OP CORS it is located in QC! (masabi lang, hehe). OR if u wanna see Sen. Chiz Escudero doing his grocery shopping... go to S&R Congressional! :)

So its more fun going S&R shopping in QC!

1st Stop: QUEZON CITY MEMORIAL CIRCLE

The Quezon Memorial Circle is a 25 hectare park located around Eliptical Road and the Quezon City quadrangles known as the north, south, east and west triangles. There are so many fun activities to do inside the park that no other park comes even close. nakz! :) Among them are: zip lining, go-kart riding, boating, biking, jogging, tiangge shopping, dancing and a lot of other things. You just have to visit the park to experience first hand that ITS MORE FUN GOING TO THE PARK IN QC!
